We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, with values ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars up to around $10 million.

Our client base includes the following sectors: commercial, residential, retirement, schools/Ministry of Education, amongst others. The variety of work on offer provides a unique opportunity for anyone up for the challenge. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding and working knowledge of NZS 3910 contracts. They will also have a sound technical understanding of New Zealand construction practices and related legislation. We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate initiative and drive, coupled with a personable approach, to ensure the successful delivery of projects and excellent customer service to our clients.

You will be involved in some or all of the following:

  • Feasibility work
  • Design coordination and planning
  • Ensuring all resource and building consents are obtained
  • Project planning and programming
  • Procurement including Tender management
  • Budgeting and cost management
  • Health and safety management
  • Risk management
  • Managing a project team through design and construction delivery
  • Business development.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Project software would be an advantage
  • Good computer skills, proficient with MS office applications
  • Strong relationships with a portfolio of existing clients would be advantageous
  • MOE experience is desirable but not essential 
  • 5+ years’ New Zealand experience in a similar role
  • Relevant tertiary degree/diploma or other similar qualification
  • Ideally you would hold PMI Project Management Professional Certification, or similar.
