Your new opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Wellington office and oversee a diverse portfolio of projects (values of up to $10 million). You will work with a variety of clients with a key focus on the education sector and Ministry of Education/schools projects. Other sectors include commercial, residential, and retirement.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding and working knowledge of NZS 3910 contracts. They will also have a sound technical understanding of New Zealand construction practices and related legislation. We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate initiative and drive, coupled with a personable approach, to ensure the successful delivery of projects and excellent client service.
You will be involved in some or all of the following:

Feasibility work
-
Design coordination and planning
-
Ensuring all resource and building consents are obtained

Project planning and programming
-
Procurement including tender management
-
Budgeting and cost management
-
Health and safety management
-
Risk management
-
Managing a project team through design and construction delivery

Business development.
What you will bring to the team:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Deliver projects to a high standard and efficiently resulting in a good client experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Proactively build relationships with a portfolio of existing clients

Experience with Microsoft Project software
-
MOE experience is desirable
-
3-5 years New Zealand experience with construction-related experience
-
Relevant construction-related qualification and ideally you would hold PMI Project Management Professional Certification, or similar.
