How we work

At the core of what we do is a commitment to safeguarding the health, wellbeing, and safety of everyone involved in our projects. We go the extra mile to provide our clients with quality advice they can rely on.

When going about our business we want to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff, partners, local communities and the planet; to guarantee all people working on our projects return home safely and that our clients receive high quality advice they can rely on.

We have a legal responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 2015 as a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU). We maintain up to date procedures for every aspect of health and safety management from document control, training, and emergency preparedness right through to incident reporting/investigation and contractor management.

To demonstrate our dedication to compliance we are a Tōtika Listed Supplier and maintain a current rating of 90%.

We promote ongoing commitment to health and safety through our specifically designed Health & Safety Management System called Plan for Zero Harm, or P4Z.

P4Z has been developed specifically for Maynard Marks because we believe that an effective health and safety management system should be driven by our people, based on what we deliver every day.

Our P4Z system enables us to quickly and easily assess the risk of hazards in our workplace and adopt practical control mechanisms that comply with health and safety legislation. This enables us to safely deliver a high quality service to all our clients every time.

When considering the safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients, contractors, subconsultants and members of the public, we think the process needs to be simple, which is why we follow four fundamental principles shown in this graphic.

As a professional practice employing qualified people from different professions, it's vital that we are on top of the latest best practice and that we continually upskill in order to consistently deliver high-quality work safely.
