About the Role
Maynard Marks is looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to establish and lead its fire engineering service. This role offers a rare opportunity to take ownership, drive growth, and shape a new division within a respected multidisciplinary consultancy. You’ll work across a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-level fire engineering consultancy and playing a key role in business development. The key responsibilities are:
- Lead fire engineering projects from concept to completion
- Provide expert technical advice on fire safety strategies and risk assessments
- Develop and review fire engineering reports, designs, and technical documentation
- Conduct fire modelling, evacuation analysis, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams across architecture, building surveying, structural engineering, and project management
- Build and maintain client relationships to generate new business and expand services
- Contribute to business planning and strategy for fire engineering growth
Skills & Experience
- CPEng Fire Engineer with a Master’s in Fire Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in a leading consultancy or specialist fire engineering firm
- Strong project leadership and business development skills
- Confident communicator with high emotional intelligence
- Ability to work autonomously and drive growth in a new service line
