We are excited to announce that Maynard Marks Environmental Consultant and Senior Associate Jack Adlam has been recognised with the Minister of Defence Tū Tika - Commitment Award of Excellence.
The New Zealand Defence Force's Defence Estate and Infrastructure team draw upon Jack’s expertise in asbestos management. He provides integral training and advice and has helped develop the Defence asbestos management plan.
NZDF notes that Jack’s support has given significant confidence and assurance that this incredibly important area of health and safety is well managed.
Matthew Wrigglesworth – Estate and Infrastructure – Asbestos Manager at NZDF says the award recognises Jack’s essential role and the ‘amazing energy and enthusiasm’ he brings, along with his ability to manage tough conversations once asbestos has been identified.
In response to winning this prestigious award, Jack says, “I’m really passionate about the work I do for NZDF – it’s diverse, challenging and very interesting. Every day is different and it’s rewarding to know that I can contribute to the objectives of the NZDF and help support their uniformed and non-uniformed personnel.”
The awards, which have been running since 1998, highlight major contributions made by individuals and small businesses to New Zealand’s defence and security through their supply of world-class products and services. This year’s awards were presented by Minister of Defence Hon Judith Collins and Associate Minister of Defence Hon Chris Penk at Parliament House.
