The Waitematā Station plaza and Tyler Street upgrade project has delivered a safer, more vibrant city space. This project, jointly funded between Auckland Council and City Rail Link Ltd, prioritises pedestrians by introducing a welcoming public plaza and improving connectivity to Waitematā Station. Enhanced landscaping with native trees, seating, and open areas foster an inviting environment, while cultural design elements strengthen the sense of place.
