Breathing new life into a two-classroom block with modern upgrades

Established in 1894, Birkdale Primary School is a culturally diverse school located on Auckland’s North Shore. Our team were tasked with project managing the upgrade of two senior classrooms constructed in the 1960s and 70s.

The Project:

The school sought to modernise two teaching spaces with a refreshed design in preparation for the upcoming school year and engaged our services as project manager.

The scope of the project included asbestos removal, installation of new wall coverings and carpets, refurbishment of the art areas, repainted surfaces, and an upgrade of window winders to enhance ventilation.

We collaborated closely with the contractor to complete the project within a tight six-week timeframe during the summer break, ensuring both classrooms were ready for teachers to set up their spaces before the new term began. The project was successfully completed under budget.
