The project:
Located on a busy city corridor, this six-storey mixed-use building had the 6th floor added as part of redevelopment project from an original office block building and was experiencing issues with water ingress. During the process, the building was diagnosed with structural issues too. We were engaged to manage the investigation, and then project manage remediation works. This included the removal and installation of new joinery and associated careful removal and re-installation of fragile façade elements, requiring the involvement of multiple consultants. With occupants remaining in residence during works, the project required careful sequencing and communication.
Our team oversaw design and planning, consultant engagement, and project execution, ensuring the programme stayed on track, despite the site’s logistical and technical challenges.
Our value add:
We provided end-to-end project leadership, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, residents, and insurers. The live, occupied site and exposed location required careful planning around safety, access, and logistics. When there were scope changes due to structural upgrades and the discovery of legacy issues, our team responded quickly to minimise disruption. By maintaining momentum, managing risk, and fostering strong positive relationships, we delivered a high-quality outcome that restored the building’s performance and appearance, with excellent client and stakeholder satisfaction.
