The Project
The investigation focused primarily on the building's exterior elements, particularly the glazing, concrete deterioration, and roofing defects. In addition, we carried out an Asbestos Management Survey (AMS), led by the Project Lead and supported by our Building Surveyors.
Our approach encompassed a thorough review of property records, including previous condition surveys, maintenance records, asbestos surveys, and council files. Subsequently, we conducted onsite investigations, employing non-invasive testing and analysis.
Our findings were consolidated into a comprehensive Building Condition Assessment report, which included photographic evidence and in-depth analysis to substantiate assessments of specific building elements and systems. This report served as the basis for developing a high-level scope of remedial works, including necessary actions and recommended maintenance to address identified issues. The remedial scope was collaboratively developed with the architect and conservation heritage architect, supported by requisite documentation, and benefited from ongoing advisory inputs throughout the remedial design process.
