Heidi is an experienced Quantity Surveyor with over 2 decades’ construction and consultancy experience gained in New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa.
Heidi is involved in all aspects of quantity surveying, advising clients on financial and contractual matters during the pre and post contract phases. She has a keen interest in contracts and regularly acts as Engineer to the Contract and Engineer’s Representative.
Clients benefit from Heidi’s wealth of experience across multiple project types including industrial; multi-storey residential buildings; healthcare; historical, educational and community buildings through to civil projects. Over the past decade she has had a particular focus on providing expert witness services to clients for quantity surveying advice presenting expert evidence on numerous occasions in mediations, the District Court and High Court. Heidi has also been a go-to cost consultant for liquidators who engage her to assess progress on site, review payment and extension of time claims and conduct forensic accounting for construction projects where main contractors have liquidated part way through projects.
Heidi works with a diverse range of clients from ministerial departments, bodies corporate, lawyers and liquidators through to businesses and private property owners. Her ability to sort through the facts, identify key risks and highlight contractual implications ensures that her clients are able to make informed decisions to conduct transactions.
A born problem solver and a factotum, Heidi can identify risks and provide solutions for any issue that arises. Her diverse background enables her to offer well-rounded advice that takes into account contract options and remedies balanced against the realities of what occurs on site. Heidi prides herself on her straightforward approach to projects and on providing accurate and robust advice.
